What is happening?
Toronto and Region Conservation Authority (TRCA) will be continuing with periodic herbicide applications in Ward 1 from June 1 to July 31 at Woodland Park (Closest Address: 34 Pheasant Valley Crescent, Markham) and Proctor and Almond Park (Closest Address: 85 Henderson Ave, Markham) as part of the City of Markham’s ecological restoration program.
Below are the maps of the spray sites. Licensed applicators will treat the areas following all applicable legislation with the following herbicide:
• Roundup Transorb HC – PCP #28198
Signage will be installed in the areas of treatment 24 hours prior and will be removed 48 hours after management efforts have been completed, as per Ministry of Environment, Conservation and Parks guidelines. If rains or winds begin or increase, application operations will stop. Rain dates are planned for August 3 to August 7.
