We encourage you to also visit “MappiT” the City of Markham’s Development Application Viewer.

Members of the public can search various development applications city-wide as well as tree removal permits to check on their status.

Bayview / John Visioning Exercise: Final Session

Councillor Irish will be hosting an in-person Community Information meeting to review the city’s Planning staff recommendations resulting from the Bayview / John Visioning exercise.

Residents will recall that three well attended public engagement sessions were held a year ago on the following topic areas: Urban Design, Built Form and Land Uses; Transportation and Mobility; and Community Uses.

This session will include a presentation of the high-level recommendations and opportunities for the public to comment.

Environmental Services 2026 Spring Compost Giveaway

* Residents will be invited to register online via the city's website beginning on Earth Day April 22, 2026 to pick-up two free bags of compost at one of the events
* One registration per household (two bags per registration)
* Spaces are limited and are available on a first come, first serve basis
* Residents are able to cancel and re-register for a different day if spots are available
* Events are rain or shine
