What is happening?
To support future construction of the Yonge North Subway Extension (YNSE) infrastructure, crews working on behalf of Metrolinx will be carrying out early preparatory works at 128, 130 and 132 Kirk Drive in advance of future demolitions. This includes the removal of 19 trees and associated vegetation on the Metrolinx-owned properties in advance of the planned building demolition. Before vegetation removal work begins, the area will be carefully checked for wildlife and active bird nests, and work will move forward following all required environmental and wildlife protection measures.
