The City of Markham undertook a “Yonge North Subway Extension Intensification Analysis” for consideration by Metrolinx as they deliberate the locations for potential subway stations from Steeles Avenue to Richmond Hill Centre.
We now know that there are 5 approved subway stations to serve Thornhill residents: Steeles, Clark, Royal Orchard, Bridge (at the current Langstaff GO Station’s south platform) and High Tech (near Langstaff’s current GO Station platform just north of Highway 407 near the Home Depot store).
