What is happening?
To support future construction of the Yonge North Subway Extension, crews working on behalf of Metrolinx will be carrying out early site and utility preparation work around Langstaff GO Station. This includes the removal of twenty-six trees, and surrounding vegetation may also be pruned and mowed. These steps are required to make sure future construction work related to Bridge Station can move forward safely and efficiently. Before tree removal work begins, the area will be carefully checked for wildlife and active bird nests, and work will move forward following all required environmental and wildlife protection measures.
