What is happening?
To support future construction of the Yonge North Subway Extension, Alectra Utilities, working on behalf of Metrolinx are working on new hydro infrastructure by installing underground ducts and upgrading overhead electrical lines. This notice provides an update on work first communicated in May 2025. In the earlier stage, crews worked along Yonge Street near Glen Cameron Road and along Yonge Street between Morgan Avenue, and north of Clark Avenue. Temporary overnight work will take place at Yonge Street and Clark Avenue East. This work will help ensure future major construction activities like tunnelling can move forward smoothly.
