Starting on Thursday, May 13, Metrolinx contractors will be commencing the environmental assessment process in the Royal Orchard community. The environmental assessment involves studying things like soil and groundwater quality, the natural environment, ambient noise and vibration levels, and land use. All work will be non-intrusive and confined only to public property and private property where necessary permissions have been obtained. If there is a need for access to any private property, they will be back to ask homeowners for their permission.
Metrolinx will also be hosting a virtual open house regarding the environmental assessment process:
