Throughout early June, customers breezed in and out of the Hwy 7 and Yonge Street Home Depot, unaware of a COVID-19 outbreak that was fast developing among employees.

When York Region Public Health finally broke the news on June 16, saying 14 employees had contracted the virus, it left the community in shock.

But not Randall Becker.

The Richmond Hill resident, who was sounding the alarm weeks before the outbreak, believes it was bound to happen.
